You have the Right

 Miranda warning or Miranda rule is a right to silence warning given by police in the United States to criminal suspects in police custody (or in a custodial interrogation) before they are interrogated to preserve the admissibility of their statements against them in criminal proceedings. The rule or right is to protect the individual who is in custody with the law.

Settlement for a Shackled Pregnant Woman

Juana Villegas is a Mexican woman who was mistreated with severe punishment while bearing child in Nashville during the year of 2008. She was chained at her ankles while giving birth. Ms. Villegas has been living in the United States since 1996 and has been deported once before. After the birth of her child, she had to return to jail without her newborn son. Who is Miranda?

It can be inferred from that this came from a 1963 rape case, Miranda v. Arizona. Ernesto Miranda was tried, convicted and sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit.
